Quang Ngai – The Land of Love
Since ancient times, Quang Ngai has come into the human heart and enchanted by poetry for its 12 beautiful scenes, especially the image of the sacred Mount Thien An reflected itself in the romantic Tra river.
Today, the land of Quang Ngai is associated with the Dung Quat Oil Refinery – the country’s first oil refinery, and the Ly Son outpost island, which is a jewel in the middle of the sea, a living museum of tangible and intangible cultural heritages, a sea volcanic geological heritages and the history of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the South China Sea for centuries.
Up to now, the essence of big cultures has existed on the land of Vietnam such as Sa Huynh culture, Champa culture and Dai Viet culture still imbued in relics, cultural sites, ways of life, customs, habits, rituals, cultural activities, folk arts of the indigenous people.
Quang Ngai is also a land of rich patriotic traditions, resilient revolutionary traditions with the most famous victories in history: Ba To insurrection, Tra Bong and Western Quang Ngai uprising, Ba Gia, Van Tuong victories etc. This is also the birthplace of patriots, civil and military mandarins, revolutionaries and leaders of the nation such as Truong Dang Do, Le Trung Dinh, Truong Dinh, Nguyen Nghiem, Pham Van Dong, Tran Duc Luong etc.
But perhaps the attraction that has made tourists love, feel attached to the homeland of Quang Ngai is the honesty, loyalty and the deep love of the Kinh and the ethnic minority brothers who for more than six centuries have shared joys and sorrows in building and protecting the Land of Mount An and the Tra river.
